Sirs, According to the latest
World Health Report, the World Health Organization's annual review of global
health, simple measures could increase life expectancy by 5-10 years, only if
the war against the top 10 risk factors, besides zinc deficiency and vitamin
A deficiency, would be efficaciously more intense (1). As far as risk factors
are concerned, such as high blood pressure, smoking, malignancies, and obesity,
which are increasingly a global problem even in the developing world, we have
to consider, in my opinion, a paramount aetiopathogenetic view-point, i.e.,
the existence of diverse “constitutions”: diabetic (2), hypertensive,
dyslipidemic, rheumatic, oncological, a.s.o., inherited by mother by means of
her mitochondrial abnormal DNA, as I illustrated in detail on my site
(HONCode 233736, http://digilander.libero.it/semeioticabiofisica) (2, 3). Exclusively individuals
with one or more of these biophysical-semeiotic constitutions, therefore,
“can” be involved by the related disorders: e.g., only people with
“Oncological Terrain”, who are smokers, can suffer and die for cancers, but
surely not other smokers without oncological constitution.. Unfortunately, these
epoch-making scientific knowledge is entirely overlooked by the World Health
Organization, although my communication, sent by an unanswered e-mail to WHO
on March 07, 2002, and reprinted as follows: To WHO-Geneva and CC
NEJM, Piazzetta, Cappellin Solaris, Internetmedicina.... Sirs, please could you
answer kindly to my following question?; I certainly will next post this
e-mail (with or without your replay: silence clearly is an answer) in the
Page, I held weekly in the italian site www.katamed.it): "In your
opinion, does it exsist or not the "Oncological Terrain", conditio
sine qua non of malignancies, recognizable at the bed side by Biophysical
Semeiotics (HONCode N. 233736, http://digilander.iol.it/semeioticabiofisica)?
Many thanks and best
